The Jodie. We've all seen it, we all know it. It wasn't until recently that I saw it in a new light. I'm not sure what changed, but I feel like I've been seeing the mini Jodie everywhere lately. Real Housewives of Miami (Bravo is my guilty pleasure), my Instagram discover page, there was just something about this bag that I could no longer ignore.
As someone who is extremely neutral in her wardrobe choices, the fact that I had to have the kiwi Jodie is not lost on me. But because I have so many neutral handbags was all the more reason to add something different to my wardrobe, something that pops. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I was originally between the Almond, the Chalk, and the Kiwi. While I love all the delicious Bottega colors, kiwi was ultimately the one for me.
Did you know the Jodie is named after Jodie Foster, who once used a Bottega hobo to shield herself from the paparazzi? I'll likely do the same when I'm leaving my house so my dog doesn't see me.
You'll find plenty of mini Jodie reviews online, so there's not much I can say here that's new. All you need to know is that I am completely head over heels with this bag and I fully understand what the hype is all about. In order to justify this purchase in my head, it will be my early birthday present to myself. Yes, my birthday is in June, but that's neither here nor there.
