I went from a Saint Laurent phase, to a Bottega phase, to a full circle moment back to Saint Laurent. This was all unintentional, it's just how my brain works.
The East West shopping tote and the North South shopping tote are OG staples for Saint Laurent. I loved my N/S tote that I had back in the day as it was perfect for work, but eventually I let it go for one reason or another. The toy tote is like a more compact version of the North South, with shorter handles and with a removable cross-body strap. I'm a sucker for minimal classic design, and this bag is exactly that.
Pros:
This bag is what you want it to be. You can use it for work, for a day out, for travel, literally for anything. There is nothing on the inside (which can also be a con, see below!) so it gives you flexibility to really make it what you need it or want it to be.
Removable and adjustable strap. Wear on shoulder, cross-body, or take off and toss in the bag.
Clean and minimal design, no loud logos; can easily hide the YSL charm so my mother doesn't judge my yet another bag purchase.
Cons:
Would I love an inside pocket of some sort? Yes, yes I would. However, if I truly need it, I can buy an organizer insert. Normally all of my items are in their own categorized zippered pouches, so I think I'll be fine.
Be mindful of the size. At 11 inches tall, it's just a tad too small for work items, documents, etc. Your laptop will fit, but it will likely stick out a little, which isn't ideal.
