Dior's iconic saddle silhouette in card holder form? Yes, please. I'm glad my search for the perfect card holder has finally come to an end with this effortless and elegant gem.
I've said goodbye to traditional wallets many years ago, and even then I held out as long as I could. Now I can't imagine carrying around a bulky wallet instead of something small and simple. The Celine card holder that I used before (pictured below next to Dior) was great, but the only thing I wasn't fond of was that it was just one compartment with no separation of any kind. There was no rhyme or reason to the way it held all my cards, ID, random store cards, etc. So I wanted something that would allow me to separate everything into their own little groups.
Aside from the main compartment, in which you can keep cards or cash, it has 3 inside card slots (2 and 1 in the front) as well as 1 card slot in the back of the card holder. Photos below to explain what I mean. I love the back pocket for easy access to my everyday credit card - no opening/closing of card holder needed. Does it hold more than the Celine? Definitely not. But it also helped me get rid of some cards that I simply don't need to carry around with me everyday (I'm looking at you, old Playa Bowls gift card with $2 left on it).
The card holder comes in a variety of colors, as well as the iconic Dior oblique jacquard print. Keep in mind that there is also a 5-gusset card holder available, which is only $10 more, if you are looking for the extra room.
I thought about the 5-gusset option, but ultimately I wanted my card holder to be either black or beige (big surprise), which the 5-gusset doesn't come in. With a little help from your votes, the decision was made to purchase the black, which I must say was a beautiful choice! Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention Dior's stunning holiday packaging, which deserves a post of its own.
